7/9/09

I made a zimbio account and added my blogger blog page to it (http://www.zimbio.com/Diabetes/articles/6x89e8bweAQ/Trying+Cure+Diabetes+Diet). My computer keeps crashing and I've been using the same techniques I've learned from Howie to promote my other websites (you can see a list of my websites at www.LoriGirl.com) so that is taking some time away from the contest. I haven't gotten any sales yet, but I've gotten 40 clicks on my products since Monday according to clickbank, which is way more than I usually get, so that is encouraging, especially considering it is all free advertising.

Today is the last day of the contest, but I'm definitely going to continue with all the suggestions from IMremarkable.com

7/7/09 update 3

I just made a hubpage (http://hubpages.com/hub/Cure-Diabetes---Cure-Diabetes-Naturally-and-Safely) and bookmarked it a few places. I also twittered my updates. I started reading some other people's challenge blogs and they are awesome. I decided to google some of the keywords I chose and found that my hubpage is the number 3 result for the keyword "cure diabetes naturally and safely"! This was such an awesome idea. Thanks Howie!

7/7/09 update 2

I've been having computer troubles today, but I did manage to post a wordpress blog on diabetes (http://diabatescure.wordpress.com/) and bookmark it on a few bookmarking sites. I checked clickbank and I have had 9 clicks on my link, but no sales yet. I'm just glad that people are actually clicking on my links.

7/7/09 update

Last night I made a squidoo page (http://www.squidoo.com/curediabeteswithdiet) and watched a few more of the IM Remarkable videos about connecting all the social networks and bookmarks. I bookmarked it with stumbleupon and reddit. This morning I checked and I had 9 views on my squidoo page. I checked my clickbank analytics but I didn't have any clicks (or sales). I signed up for a few more social bookmarking sites... technorati, yahoo, and google. So much more to do!

7/6/09 update 2

Since my divorce blog is considered spam, I switched to Diabetes as much niche. My grandmother has diabetes so it hits close to home for me. So the first thing I did was a general google bar keyword search again to find general keywords for diabetes. Then I went to clickbank to find products to promote. There were quite a few natural cure ebooks so I decided to see if I could find some longtail keywords with little competition.

Clickbank Diabetes Results:

So after doing some related search queries and using the wonder wheel I found eight longtail keywords to use.

Google keyword research result:

After I had some keywords to work with, I set up my blogger blog here... http://cure-diabetes-naturally.blogspot.com/ and used one of the keywords as the blog title. I then wrote a blog promoting one of the clickbank products I found.

Now I'm going to go back and write some more blogs and twitter both blogs.

7/6/09 update 1

So I chose the divorce niche to start doing the contest with. Not sure if it was the best choice now that I think about it since I've never been through a divorce, but that is ok. I can do research just like anyone else.

So I started doing the keyword research using the methods I learned in the video. I put divorce into the google search bar and wrote down all the results that popped up underneath the bar... divorce papers, divorce advice, divorce statistics, divorce rate, divorce records, divorce laws, divorce process, divorce lawyers, divorce court, divorce care.

I then went to clickbank and commission junction to see what products I could promote using these keywords. I found some ebooks about divorce and some lawyer websites on cj. I decided to use divorce lawyers to narrow down my keyword niche.

I found a bunch of long tail keywords I could use with the wonder wheel... divorce custody advice, divorce my husband, divorce settlement advice... but there were only maybe 8 that had less than 3,000 results when I put them in quotes. I chose "divorce advice for fathers" for my first blog.

I made a new blogger blog at http://advice-surviving-divorce.blogspot.com/and wrote my first blog. At first I tried to put some links in there for articles and things I found, but google decided my blog looked like a spam blog and so now it has to be reviewed. Live and learn. I erased all the links and just wrote about a general blog about places fathers could go.

I never understood why you couldn't make a blog with a list of links. It seems like an easy way to put everything someone might need in one spot, but the blogging sites hate it. Oh well. So hopefully my blog will be able to be seen before the end of the contest. I think for now I might just make another niche until I hear back from google that my blog can actually be seen.

Today is the first day that I am following the IM Remarkable "Most Remarkable Marketer" challenge. I only have 3 days to try to do something remarkable. The challenge ends on July 9th at midnight. It is a 10 day challenge but I just found out about it yesterday. The #1 Ranked “Remarkable Marketer” will be flown to Connecticut for a VIP closed-door event on July 13 & 14 (including airfare, limo, hotel) and will be interviewed. Even if I don't win on the 9th, I am going to continue the challenge for 10 days to see how far I get.

I have been doing internet marketing since February of this year (2009). I quit my job to stay home and take care of my elderly grandparents. I do get paid to take care of them, but not nearly as much as I used to make. Since I was home most of the day and I love to travel, I decided that internet marketing would be the best way to earn extra money from home for now and when the time comes, it will allow me to travel and work from anywhere.

Since I had never done any internet marketing, I turned to the internet to try to learn as much as I could. I bought some marketing guides and coaching programs to try to accelerate my progress. I have learned a lot! I didn't even know how to make a website when I started and now I've made five. I have websites about San Diego, web hosting, working from home, a blog, and relationships. I suppose these are niches, but they are pretty broad. Out of the five, I have only made money from two of them so far and this is my fifth month.

The niche I am choosing for this challenge is divorce, since I am already doing relationships and it is something I am interested in. I will keep track of my progress and what steps I am doing here in this blog.

If you are trying to make money online and are looking for an earn cash from home manual, then I suggest checking out Howie's free IM Remarkable blog at http://www.imremarkable.com. Good luck!
